The Feel-Good Experiment

In a world full of exhaustion, burnout, and the constant search for moments of joy, Clorox is introducing a new perspective on what truly makes us feel good. We started by asking 2,000 people what makes them happy. We then teamed up with experts to create the “Feel-Good Index,” a score that uses EEG technology to measure positive emotional responses. Using this index we compared how cleaning with Clorox products stacked up against the everyday feel-good activities from the survey. The results may surprise you.

The Feel-Good Results

Can cleaning feel better than relaxing with candles or playing video games? For our research participants cleaning with Clorox products scored higher than these classic joy-inducing activities. It also scored higher than having a manicure, drinking coffee or matcha. It’s no wonder our recent survey* found that 98% of respondents said cleaning improves their mood, while 96% reported an instant boost after cleaning their space or even just walking into one that was already clean.

*Clorox commissioned regional study conducted across the UAE and KSA in partnership with Censuswide, an independent research firm
